NORTH BERGEN – At 1 a.m. early this morning, firefighters responded to a blaze at the Seville Motel in the industrial section of North Bergen. However, no injuries or major damage was reported.
According to the Associated Press:
“Police say the fire was put out soon after and is being investigated. The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined. Police says it’s unclear if there was any serious damage to the two-story motel, which sits along a highway in an industrial area.
“At a nearby Howard Johnson motel, employee Nitin Gulhane (nit-IN’ gul-HAH’-nay) says he smelled the smoke across the highway.
“The main telephone at the Seville Motel has been ringing unanswered.”
