Funeral mass took place Nov. 24 at St. Patrick’s Church, Jersey City, for Francis T. Daly Sr. “Frank” died Nov. 18 at University Hospital, Newark. Frank was born and raised in Jersey City. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Local 472 Laborers Union, Newark, and worked construction with the NJ Turnpike. He was the past governor of The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 266, and Knights of Columbus Council 137, both of Jersey City. He was predeceased by his wife Estelle Daly; his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Daly; his sister and brothers, Joan Long, Joseph “Buddy”, Raymond, Robert, and Baby Thomas Daly. Surviving are his son Francis T. Daly Jr. and his wife Eileen P. Daly and grandson Francis T. Daly III; sisters and brothers, Veronica Ruddy, John, Donald (ret. Dir of Custody Juvenile Detn. Ctr.); his companion Bernedette Peselli, Patrick, Lawrence (ret. FDJC) and wife Helen, Rosanne Ranski, Richard, Elizabeth Rudolph and husband William, James (Deputy Chief of Juvenile Detn.) and wife Carol, David, Patricia Bartucci and husband John (HC Sheriff Dept), Michael and wife Debra.
