HOBOKEN — Boy, if that gun could talk, it might have stories to tell.
On Monday, Nov. 9, a Hoboken man fishing off Pier A Park reeled in a handgun in a plastic bag.
The fisherman turned over to police a HNR 22-caliber black handgun, somewhat of an older model, according to Police Lt. Mark Competello.
Police said a check to see if the gun was stolen turned up negative.
They submitted it to the federal Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms division, who will do a more extensive search to see if the gun was connected to any criminal activity.
