Rabbi’s daughter appreciated ‘High Holidays’ story

Dear Editor:
I recently read your article “High Holidays” in the West New York Reporter (Sept. 20, 2009). I truly appreciate such an article, as my Dad, Rabbi Aaron Chomsky, of Blessed Memory, was, at one time, the Rabbi of this beautiful shul (synagogue). Having seen many shuls all over the world, I must tell you this is still one of the most beautiful shuls ever.
I’m thrilled that it is still somewhat active, and pray that it remains open and active for many, many years to come – forever. I also appreciate that it was the headline /cover story, never having seen one such as this, at the WNY Reporter.
My beloved Dad, Rabbi Aaron Chomsky, of Blessed Memory, was the Rabbi of this shul between 1972 and 77. He recently passed away (July 2009). I’m sure both he and my beloved Mom, of Blessed Memory, who also recently passed away (May 2008), would have appreciated the article.
Keep up the good work.

Sincerely,
Alizah Chomsky
