Dear Editor:
On November 3rd, Hoboken and New Jersey faces a critical choice. We are confronted with a national recession and years of poor fiscal performance, higher taxes and corruption. One candidate has the tenacity and fortitude to tackle these tough issues – former U.S. Attorney Chris Christie. We have the highest taxes in the nation and he knows that in order to attract new business to our state we need lower corporate taxes. This would allow existing companies to become stronger and hire more people. We need to streamline our state government and Chris has a plan to do just that. As he says “we cannot tax, borrow and spend our way out this problem.” Read his plan on how to cut personal and property taxes on www.christefornj.com. He also plans to tackle the stranglehold that unions have, leading to higher costs and inefficiencies. Innovative ideas such as sun setting all new programs, a freeze on new rules regulations, eliminating patronage jobs and pensions for part time workers will save significant sums of money that we don’t have. He supports clean energy and just as important, clean government, something that should be of great importance to residents of Hudson County. As a federal prosecutor Chris put over 140 corrupt N.J. officials in jail and if you believe as I do, that N.J. is the wrong track and we need a change, then I urge you to support Chris Christie as our next Governor.
Sincerely,
Scott Siegel
