Funeral services were held Oct. 26 for Jeannine E. “Jeanne” Schnapp, 80, formerly of Brick Township and Guttenberg. She passed away Oct. 21 peacefully at Warren Haven Nursing Home. She was born in Union City to the late Thomas and Emily Thurlby. Jeanne was a customer service representative for Steinbeck Co., and earlier in her life she worked in embroidery. She graduated from Memorial High School in West New York (Class of 1947). She was of Protestant faith. Surviving are her daughter Debra Mullen and her husband Michael, of Washington Twp.; her grandchildren Michael Mullen and Lena Minervini and her fiancé Joseph Wasylyk, all of Washington Twp., and her nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband William; three brothers, Thomas Thurlby, Howard Thurlby, Kenneth Thurlby; and a sister Helen Macaluso. She was a member of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary in Brick Twp. Jeanne was a loyal N.Y. Giants fan; she loved playing cards and going to the beach. She was very devoted and loved spending time with her family. Services arranged by the Warren Hills Memorial Home, Washington, N.J.
