Dear Editor:
Last Saturday evening my neighbors and I were alerted to a strong smell of smoke in our hallways here in our condominium.
The alarms did not sound at first, but the Hoboken Fire Dept miraculously appeared somehow.
Whatever the circumstances were, I want to thank these brave responders. Each of them working tirelessly to find the source, carrying hoses up 16 flights of steps, and evacuate this very large high-rise.
In a time where we read and hear so much trash talk about our public employees, it’s a real eye opener when you see just how critical a duty our Police, Fire and ALL City Employees perform in one of America’s safest cities.
