A celebration of the life of Allen C. Sanford, 57, took place Oct. 20 at Christian Love Baptist Church, Irvington. He was born in Newark, and was a resident of Jersey City. He was the husband of Barbara M. Sanford; the father of Jason Gilbert, Corey Ward, Nakeisha Ward, Teleisha Ward, Shakeera Ward, Kiona Alvelo, Alsamar Ward, and Altaquan Sanford; the brother of Sharmon Glenn (James), Patricia Jones, Joellen Sanford, Deidre Sanford, Joseph Sanford, Joann Sanford, and the late Terrence Sanford, and special grandfather of 16 grandchildren.
