Hoboken-bound train hits, kills teenager

The Associated Press posted this story today:

A New Jersey teenager has been struck and killed by an NJ Transit commuter train.
Matthew Caughey, a 17-year-old senior at Manasquan High School, was on foot when he was hit around 7:20 a.m. Friday at the Beacon Boulevard crossing in Sea Girt.
Caughey is the fourth Manasquan student or recent graduate to be killed by a train in the past 18 months.
District Superintendent Geraldine Margin said counselors were made available for students at the Monmouth County school.
NJ Transit spokeswoman Penny Bassett Hackett said the northbound North Jersey Coast Line train was headed to Hoboken with about 100 passengers. None were injured.
There were significant delays along the line because there is only one track in the area.
