Protest against hate group canceled

HUDSON COUNTY — The Hudson County Diversity Council will no longer be protesting against the Westboro Baptist Church when they come to Hoboken, Jersey City and Secaucus to spread their weird message of hate, the Jersey Journal is reporting.
The diversity council, along with other groups and local leaders, has decided it is best to ignore the radical Kansas-based church rather than engage.
The church (see earlier breaking news item) is known for protesting homosexuals, Jews, soldiers in Iraq (they think the deaths in the war are punishment for America’s sins), Catholics, and many other groups. They say they do not have a problem with other races, as the Bible is not against other races.
One Hoboken-based blogger had a little message for the group, laid out on a welcome mat. Click HERE to view.
