Festival a success

Hoboken fair thrives in any weather

For the second season in a row, bad weather tried to dampen spirits at the Hoboken Fall Arts and Music Festival last Sunday. But with legendary rock ā€˜nā€™ roll acts like Leon Russell, thousands of people braved the rainy weather to enjoy live music, good food and good company.
Russell, who has played with the likes of The Rolling Stones and The Beatles, wowed hundreds at the main stage on First Street and Observer Highway with some of his classic hits like ā€œA Song For You.ā€ The sturdy set even covered songs like ā€œGeorgia On My Mind,ā€ and ā€œGreat Balls Of Fire.ā€ Another rock ā€˜nā€™ roller was on hand, the local blues performer Christine Santelli, who played to hundreds on the main stage.
In addition to the live music, the festival also offered great food from local eateries, plenty of childrenā€™s games, and artwork from some of the best artists Hudson County has to offer.
Here is what locals and artists had to say about this yearā€™s Hoboken Fall Arts and Music Festival.
