A home going celebration was held Sept. 21 at Zion Baptist Church, Jersey City for Ruby Lowery, of Jersey City. She passed away Sept. 16. She was the wife of the late Sam Lowery Sr.; the mother of the late Sam Lowery Jr., and Wesley Shivers; the mother-in-law of Harry Shivers; the grandmother of Kim Eatman, Danielle Brady; the great-grandmother of Terrence Shivers, and the daughter of the late Clell and Mary Byers. She is also survived by a whole host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, Zion Baptist Church members and friends. Services arranged by The Family Funeral Home, Newark.
