This release came in from the campaign of Hoboken mayoral candidate Dawn Zimmer:
“The Zimmer campaign filed additional documentation today with the Hudson County Clerk to correct errors that it discovered in its petition filing. Upon rereading the original documentation, Sam Briggs, Dawn Zimmer’s campaign manager, realized that he had mistakenly signed a document indicating that he was a Hudson County registered voter and that some certifications had been inadvertently attached to the wrong petitions. He immediately notified the campaign’s attorney so that the appropriate corrections could be made within the permitted 10 day time window.
Alex Booth, the Zimmer campaign’s Attorney said, “The needed corrections have now been made within the period the law provides for just this purpose.”
“The mistakes were mine and I have apologized to Mayor Zimmer” said Mr. Briggs.
