LETTER FROM THE EDITORHOME BASE

Each fall we focus on homes. It’s the time of year when you think about upgrading the one you have or finding the one you want. We talk to architects, interior designers, and homeowners, visit three furniture makers, and take a visual tour of the fabulous W Hotel and Residences on the Hoboken waterfront.
Even if you’re not old enough to remember the 1960s, the aftershocks of that tumultuous decade are still being felt. Three of our stories rock down memory lane with people and events from that culture-altering time.
The World Series will soon be upon us, and even if the Bronx Bombers don’t make it, the spanking new Yankee Stadium is worth a visit. In “Waterways,” we tell you how to get there by boat from Hoboken—and we share our day at the ballgame.
Koi Spa is not just about health and beauty, it’s about peace and tranquility—truly an “Enlightening” experience. For romance and fantasy, check out “Quixotic” and learn how you can enjoy a dreamy evening at Archetypus Cafe.
The boom in dog owners has brought a boom in dog walkers. In “Furs, Fins, and Feathers,” we take a look at those ubiquitous leash lovers who make their living on the canine constitutional.
We also introduce two new sections. “Spotlight On” focuses on a different town every issue. This time we put Edgewater in our sights. “Out and About” is a pictorial report of various fundraisers held in our area. See what your friends and community leaders are up to during the evening hours.
There’s much more. Visit palisademagazine.com to comment on stories.
Fall is in the air.
