A funeral mass was celebrated Sept. 2 at St. Augustine’s R.C. Church, Union City, for Carlos R. Vilar, 82. He passed away on Aug. 30 at Palisades Medical Center, North Bergen. Of Union City, he was born in Camaguey, Cuba and came to the U.S. in 1968. He is survived by his wife, Elvira. He was the father of Carlos and Jose, and the grandfather of Victoria, Sophia, and Adrian. Also survived by one great grandchild, Olivia. Services arranged by the Morgado Funeral Home, Union City.
