A funeral mass was celebrated Aug. 29 at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, East Rutherford, for George Pilovsky Sr., 85, born in Jersey City and a resident of Carlstadt for seven years. He passed away Aug. 26. George was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed life to the fullest. His greatest joy was being around family, who remember his warm heart, blue eyes and his wonderful smile. He was employed and affiliated with Teamster Local 617, Jersey City, and was also an employee of Christ Hospital, retiring in 1989. George is survived by his wife, Edith Pilovsky. He was the father of Lorraine Cioffi and her husband Michael, Joseph M. Pilovsky and his wife Lucy, Edith A. Molino and her late husband Michael J. Molino and her fiance, Mike Felenczak, and the late George T. Pilovsky. He was the grandfather of eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; the brother of Helen Pilovsky and Elizabeth Pilovsky, the late Julia Kwaitkowski and Mary Wojiciki, and the late Joseph, Frank and Michael Pilovsky.
