Funeral services were conducted Aug. 29 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Jersey City, for Susan McDonald. She passed away Aug. 22. She was born in Richland, S.C. to York and Susan DeCosta. She had been a Jersey City resident since the early 1950s. She was a member of Emmanuel Church of Christ, Jersey City. She was the wife of Lacy McDonald. Susan was the mother of 10 children, John, Steve, Calvin, Donald, Stelly, Betty Ann, Danielle and the late Jonathan, Jeanette and Lucille, and one step-daughter, Charlesetta. She was also one of 16 children and sister of Peter, James, Charles and the late Ruth, Lucille, Beulah, Laurel, Geneva, Cathy, Thomas, Gleason, Hosea, York Jr., Jehu DeCosta; the mother-in-law of Derrick, Woodrow, Kimberly and Sandy. Susan was blessed with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Services arranged by the Watson Mortuary Service, Jersey City.
