(formerly of Bayonne); on Tuesday, August 11, 2009; husband of Doris Sharkey; father of Mary Ann (Robert) Jozwiak of Voohees, N.J., Margaret Clancy of Lawrenceville, Jay (Ann) Sharkey of Holland, Mich., Judy Cooney of Sugar Hill, Blaise (Deborah) Sharkey of Lafayette, Ark., Teresa (Michael) Nemey of Marlton, N.J., Patrick (Rebecca) Sharkey of Burlington, N.J., Nancy (Jerry) Golden of Loganville; also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother of Hubert Sharkey of Bayonne, and Sister Kathleen Sharkey, O.S.B. of Elizabeth, N.J. Funeral arrangements were by the BILL HEAD Funeral Homes and Crematory Duluth Chapel. Sharkey was a World War II U.S. Army veteran with General Omar Bradley twelfth Army group and was the recipient of five battle stars.
