Hurricane Bill: Threat or hype?

As the National Weather Service predicted (and we noted in an earlier news brief below), Tropical Storm Bill became Hurricane Bill and is heading north. The question is: Will it continue to head north and become extratropical, dissipating up around Nova Scotia as some do, or could it turn inland and threaten our Mid-Atlantic states? The map of its projected path does make it seem that it could be a threat.
Just something to keep an “eye” on, so to speak. Weather.com has this to say: “There’s a good chance that rough surf may also impact the East Coast of the United States this weekend and early next week if Bill follows its current forecast path.”
Who’s in for a wet spell? Outer Banks? Long Island? Cape Cod? Or is it us here in Hudson County? Only time will tell.
