Bryon Burke, a garage attendant employed by the county since November 2002, was arrested by Hudson County Sheriff’s Department officers yesterday for allegedly stealing tires from the county garage.
Harold Demellier, director of the county’s Public Works Department, requested an investigation after receiving reports that tires were missing. The Sheriff’s Department began the inquiry, county officials said, and set up surveillance. County Administrator Abe Antun said Burke has been suspended without pay. Al Sullivan
