To the Editor:
I would like to thank the City of Bayonne, the Police Department and the Housing Department for the lovely evening they provided us with on Tuesday, Aug. 4.
This was the “Night Out” celebration throughout the county, and I am sure that I speak for all those who attended from the senior building here on 21st Street and the housing on 18th Street when I say that it was a time of getting to know our neighbors and enjoying a time of fellowship with each other.
I want to thank the Police Explorers also, as well as Officer Joe, who did the cooking; the housing maintenance men, who helped set-up and attended to our needs; and I’m sorry I didn’t get all your names, but we all know Paul who is always a good help and friendly to us all here at 21st Street.
The Mr. Softee truck owner and his great ice cream were a welcome end to a perfect night.
Again, thank you, Bayonne, and Mayor Smith for providing this lovely evening. May the Lord bless all of you who made this possible.
