A funeral mass was celebrated Aug. 5 at St. Joseph of the Palisades Church, West New York, for Lea Liparini, 80, of West New York. She passed away July 30. Lea was first and foremost a loving, committed wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Her life and actions were guided by the highest values, honesty, integrity, compassion, commitment, hard work and self-discipline. She was a steady source of calm, clear-sighted counsel in times of trouble and loved sharing moments of joy. Her example was a source of strength and wisdom for her children, relatives and friends. She was the wife of Robert J. Liparini for 57 years; the mother of daughters Diana Peluso and her husband Vincent, Laura Belcic and her husband Guido, Lea Colon and her husband Frank, sons Robert Liparini and Stephen Liparini. “Nana” will be sadly missed by her ten grandchildren Vincent Peluso, Ivan and Larissa Belcic, Stephen, Michael, Matthew, Lori and James Liparini, Lukas and Robert Colon. She was predeceased by her parents Marco and Zelica Indri. She is survived by her brothers Nino, Elso and Alfeo Indri. She was a sister-in-law, aunt and friend to so many who loved her dearly.
