Dear Editor:
On Thursday, Aug. 13, Jersey City Dairy Queen will be among 35 Dairy Queens in New Jersey participating in the fourth annual North American “Miracle Treat Day,” with $1 or more from every Blizzard sold being donated to Children’s Miracle Network, a nonprofit organization that raises money for children’s hospitals. Proceeds from Blizzard sales in this area will benefit Children’s Specialized Hospital, a Children’s Miracle Network hospital.
Last year’s event raised more than $22,000 in one day for Children’s Specialized Hospital, part of $4.5 million raised at Dairy Queen locations all across North America. A national corporate sponsor since 1984, Dairy Queen has raised more than $77 million for Children’s Miracle Network, making it one of the top five contributors to the charity.
