Hoboken Acting Mayor Dawn Zimmer met with city directors today to announce that she will have an open process to collect resumes for their positions.
Zimmer encouraged directors to submit their own resumes for the process as well.
The city directors were appointed by Mayor Peter Cammarano but never approved by the city council.
Fiscal monitor Judy Tripodi was interested in keeping the existing slate of directors on until the November election, according to a source in City Hall. Tripodi was worried that the city would have trouble attracting qualified directors for such a short amount of time without a guarantee of employment should Zimmer not be elected, the source said.
