To the Editor:
I attended the Bayonne High School Summer Playhouse production “Peter Pan” on Friday evening. It was a packed house. I brought my 2-year-old granddaughter with me to see the show and we sat in the back just in case she didn’t like it and had to leave early. She was so excited and I was just as excited witnessing her joy. She couldn’t wait for intermission to be over. We stayed to the very end.
I would like to extend my congratulations to director Tim Craig, his staff, the orchestra and most importantly to the cast. The quality of the performance was outstanding. It was evident that a lot of time went into the planning, directing, rehearsals and the performance itself. Bayonne definitely has a large group of talented students.
I would also like to thank the school system for supporting these performances. As director Rosen indicated to me, it is a great idea to bring children this young to the performances so they can be aware of what to expect when they are old enough to be brought to a Broadway play. You are never too young or too old to enjoy the arts!
Thank you again for an outstanding performance. Good luck in future shows!
