Chris Christie to appear in Union City, and…

PolitickerNJ reports that Republican gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie will appear at Union City’s National Night Out festivities tonight. Mayor Brian Stack, a Democrat, invited both Christie and campaign opponent Gov. Jon Corzine, according to the blog.
The blog also had this to say:
“Stack, an independent Democrat who waged an historic 2007 war with the Hudson County Democratic Organization, hasn’t yet said who he intends to support for governor. Sources say he invited both Corzine and Christie to his city’s National Night Out ceremony.
“Stack’s name surfaced in a Bergen Record story over the weekend in connection with Union City First, a political action committee linked to him, which in 2007 received $4,000 from an FBI cover organization. Stack has not been charged with any wrongdoing.”
