A funeral mass took place July 29 at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Secaucus, for Christopher E. Canavari, 77, of Secaucus, formerly of North Bergen. He passed away July 25. Christopher served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of Secaucus American Legion Post No. 118. He was the husband of Martha L. Canavari; the father of Valerie Lynam and her husband John and the late Joyce Panin, the grandfather of Michael Panin and Melissa and Stephanie Lynam, and the brother of Eugene Canavari and the late Gloria Emken. Services arranged by the Mack Memorial Home, Secaucus.
