A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 17 at Holy Rosary Church, Jersey City, for Rose M. Moriarty, 80. She passed away July 13. Born in Jersey City, she moved to Lyndhurst in 1986. She was a secretary for the Jersey City Board of Education for 25 years, retiring in 1999. Rose was a member of the Association of St. Lucy Filippini, a volunteer with the Union Food Bank and a proud parishioner of Holy Rosary Church, where she was a former member of the Rosary Society. In Lyndhurst she was also a member of Sacred Heart Parish. She was predeceased by her parents, Angelo Michael Saltarelli and Caroline Marzatello. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Susan Toal and her husband Greg, John Moriarty and Kim, Pat Rainer and her husband Ed, Diane Moriarty, Cathy Glacken, Chris and Rosemarie Moriarty Rainer and her husband Ted. Rose was the sister of Bernice Perrone, the Most Rev. Michael A. Saltarelli, D.D., of Wilmington, Del.; and special sister-in-law of Josephine Saltarelli. She was predeceased by her other siblings, Theresa DeSanto, Angela Amoroso, Mary Lou Milano and Joseph Saltarelli. She was the grandmother of Jessica, Michael, Gregory, Emily, Trisha-Rose, Joseph, Brian and Sarah-Rose, and the great grandmother to Kylie and Keira Rose. She is also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews and friends. Rose will be remembered for dedicating her life to her family and God and sharing a smile with everyone she met. Services arranged by the Introcaso-Angelo Funeral Home, Jersey City.
