Dear Editor:
Mayor Brian P. Stack never stops thinking different ways of how to improve the quality of life to all the residents of the community.
Recently, the residents of 4th Street and Palisade Avenue were informed by Mayor Stack that the reason there were trucks, heavy equipment and construction was due to the fact that the empty lot in this area had been used to repair the viaduct wall that collapsed two years ago. Everyone in this community should know that Mayor Stack has worked very hard with the county government to ensure that the viaduct was going to be repaired. Furthermore, Mayor Stack is always informing the community of numerous happenings in the entire neighborhood.
At the present time another happening is taking place in the Downtown area of Union City to give residents a better way of life. Between 9th and 10th Street and Palisade Avenue an outdoor Olympic swimming pool is being built and should be available by early may of 2010. It is incredible the accomplishments that Mayor Stack has been able to give the community since he took over as Mayor of this city nine (9) years ago. Many people might have forgotten that in the year two thousand (2000) Union City was on the brink of going bankrupt. Let the light shine on and those that truly appreciate solid government wish to have Brian as Mayor as long as he wants.
With Respect,
Mirtha Serret
