Monday morning at 10:30 a.m., a man with a duffel bag robbed the Bank of America on 48th Street and Bergenline Avenue in Union City.
He placed the bag on the counter at the bank and presented the teller a note with his demands. He said that he had a gun though he did not present any firearm, according to the FBI.
There were no customers present at the time of the robbery and nobody was injured.
The man fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. Union City police and the FBI are working toward capturing the criminal.
The suspect is described as olive skinned, though the race of the individual was not determined. 5’11, 180-200 lbs, in his 30s. Last seen wearing a plain dark t-shirt, dark glasses and a khaki hat.
