Joseph Lynch, 86, of Secaucus, passed away on Thursday, July 9. Lynch was a well known Hudson County engineer, planner and surveyor who founded Mayo Lynch & Associates in 1953. His career includes current service as engineer for the JCMUA, the city of Weehawken, the NBBOE and countless major municipal projects including housing, parks, sewerage treatment plants, industrial facilities, schools, and planning projects in NJ and NY.
Joseph was instrumental in initiating the Federal Model Cities Grant for Hoboken, and shared ownership of patents for sewage treatment processes and equipment.
Joseph married high school sweetheart, Anna four days prior to enlistment in World War II, and they recently celebrated their 66th anniversary.
