A funeral mass was celebrated July 8 at St. Anthony R.C. Church for William A. Murray, 85. He passed away July 4 at his home in North Bergen. He was born in East Pittston, Pa. He was a high school science teacher for the town of Park Ridge. Mr. Murray was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was a former Commander of Saldarini Post VFW; a former Parish council president and Eucharistic Minister for St. Anthony; a member of the Union City Elks and former president of Park Ridge Teacher’s Union. He was the husband of the late Liselotte Gimber; the father of Lee Schreck, Patricia Bilof, Joseph, Kathleen Vargas and the late William; the father-in-law of John Schreck and Susan Murray; the brother-in-law of Madeline Murray. He was the grandfather of 12, and great-grandfather of nine. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
