We got this photo last week from “Baby Boy, Pooch,” who is actually a cat, and his “dad,” Andre Volpe in Bayonne. Believe it or not, Pooch actually wrote the letter (stranger things have happened!)
Pooch writes: “Hi, my name is Baby Boy, Pooch, residing in Bayonne. As you can see, I am relaxing on my favorite couch, sitting with my dad, Andre Volpe, reading my favorite newspaper, the Bayonne Community News. Doing these things is a ‘vacation’ to me.”
Pooch added, “The Bayonne Community News is welcome at the end of the day, after a hard day of playing, keeping me informed of ‘Pet of the Week’ and the like! Especially when the Bayonne Community News is advertising my favorite ‘cat grub’ on sale in the local markets, which makes my dad very happy! He says I am eating him out of house and home! He wants me to get a job and earn my keep. Go figure. I just reply, ‘Where’s the beef?’ ”
Pooch further adds, “Compared to my favorite ball of yarn, the Bayonne Community News is second to none. Love, Baby Boy, Pooch.”
We love it when our readers tell us our favorite parts of the paper! And Pooch, did you know that puppies use our paper as well?
In any case, we’d like to hear from more of you who take our newspapers on vacation, even if your vacation involves sitting in front of the air conditioner (in summer, we’re all for that.) Surprise us, make us laugh, show off your kids (or pets!) by sending us a photo of you and/or your fellow vacationers posing with a copy of your Reporter or Bayonne Community News. Make sure you follow the rules below.
If e-mailing, please send the photo as a .jpg attachment.
________
Either e-mail it to editorial@hudsonreporter.com and put Reporter on Vacation in the subject head (so it won’t get lost), or send to: Reporter on Vacation, Hudson Reporter newspapers, 1400 Washington St., Hoboken NJ 07030. Please do not send us your only copy of the photo. Include a phone number in case we have questions.
NOTE: If e-mailing, send the photo as a .jpg attachment, but put the caption and other information in the body of the e-mail. Only one photo per vacation, please.
We look forward to seeing and publishing your photos! Have a great vacation!
