A funeral service was held June 30 at Christ United Methodist Church, Jersey City for Bickram Chankadial, 49. He passed away June 26. Born in Couve, Trinidad, he came to Jersey City 25 years ago. He was the store manager for Strawberry stores in New York City. Bickram is survived by his brothers Jewen, Samuel and his wife Fazie, and was predeceased by his brother Bharry. He is also survived by his sisters, Dolly Samuel and her husband Robert, and Dharwantiah “Rose” Chankadial; his special friend, Gerard Johnson; 15 nephews and nieces, Russell, Julie, Nicholas, Jillian, Acmar, Robin, Arthi, Rickie, Dallie, Barry, Traus, Luca, Selima, Auinash and Akash, and two godchildren, Nathaniel and Priya. Services arranged by the Evergreen Funeral Home, Jersey City.
