To the Editor:
Special thanks to Dr. John Joseph (Jack) Smith for being the special person and doctor that he is. My mom fell on May 13 and we called Dr. Smith at 6:30 a.m. He immediately called an ambulance and met us at Bayonne Medical Center.
Expertise and gentle manner made my mom feel so safe and at ease, as this was such a shock to her body. He moved quickly to have her admitted and special doctors were called in to do the surgery. He monitored her condition at Bayonne Medical Center and at Hamilton Park Rehabilitation Center, which was also wonderful to her.
When she returned home, he made a special visit to see how she was doing and to monitor her progress. The people of Bayonne are so fortunate to have him as our doctor and friend.
A special thank you also to Dr. Jeffrey M. Warshauer, D.O., and his team and to Dr. Jonathan Michael, DPM, and to the wonderful staff of doctors, nurses and aides on 5R. The emergency room staff was also quick and caring.
To finalize our thank yous, a special thanks to Hudacko’s Pharmacy and their staff for their outstanding service when we needed them the most.
We are grateful that we have a town with people that are caring, loving and help each other.
