According to North Bergen Lt. Frank Cannella, commander of the Detective Bureau, yesterday between 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. two victims were shot outside of the Super 8 Motel, located alongside Route 495 East.
Cannella said that the alleged perpetrator shot into a car and that a female victim, 25, of Queens, was hit through her the left arm. The bullet exited her arm and pierced the driver, 23, of Jersey City, through his right leg.
Cannella said that the victims allegedly drove themselves to Christ Hospital, Jersey City, where they were treated and released. Jersey City Police then alerted North Bergen about the incident.
He said that police were currently following up on “solid leads” and that anyone with more information should call the North Bergen Detective’s Bureau at (201) 392-2092. – Tricia Tirella
