Dear Editor:
I would like to acknowledge publicly the valorous men and women of Post 107 in Hoboken for the respectful tribute to our fallen and serving, including those we lost in 9-11 and our Police and Fire personnel.
The memorial service was sparsely attended, but the prayers and the hearts were there, including Councilman Cammarano accompanied by Angel Alicea, Captain-Freeholder Anthony Romano, Nino Giacci, E. Norman Wilson, Ruben Ramos, Jimmy Farina, and Theresa Burns, to name a few.
Shirley Cummings gave a beautiful rendition of God Bless America and the Battle Hymn of the Republic. We all joined in, including our vets, young and older. We all raised our voices and our prayers to the Almighty.
God Bless America and our freedoms earned and appreciated by those who attended.
