This year, Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter “151” will celebrate our 25th anniversary, 25 years of serving our veterans and our community. We are asking all present and former members, friends and families to come join us in honoring our men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice defending our nation.
This year, we are preparing signs with the names of 29 Bayonne sons who paid the ultimate sacrifice and one who is still listed as MIA from the Vietnam War. If you would like to carry a name of a loved one, or one you shared a special memory with, please contact the Chapter at (201) 252-1823 and let us know. There will also be a short ceremony at the Vietnam Monument at Trask Avenue and First Street at 9 a.m. Then we will proceed over to Fifth Street for the Memorial Day ceremony and parade.
