To the Editor:
On April 19, the Bayonne Elks Motorcycle Committee held its fourth annual Blessing of the Bikes. People were able to come out for a good day, start the riding season by getting their bikes blessed and see the Tear Drop Memorial while there, which for all was an added bonus.
We would like to thank Mayor Smith and his aid, Jason, who set us up with Chris Patella from the BLRA in order to make the location even possible. After many phone calls and meetings, some on their personal time, we were informed of what was needed and exactly how we could pull off our event. The support from the city, BLRA, clubs that attended our event and, of course, our fellow members, helped raise money for all the charities our lodge participates with and hopefully we will only grow stronger.
