NY Waterway, the local ferry service that participated in rescues in the “Miracle on the Hudson” and during 9/11, is adding personal stories of the latest rescue to their regular “Skyline Cruises.”
From their press release:
“NY Waterway’s Skyline Cruise offers visitors an inside look at the unforgettable ‘Miracle on the Hudson’ where 142 US Airways Flight 1549 passengers were rescued from the Hudson River by 14 NY Waterway ferries. The 90-minute cruise now includes an 8-minute video broadcast on large, flat-screen TVs that highlights the courageous rescue with comments from the NY Waterway crew members who bravely and selflessly participated in the rescue. Experienced tour guides point out the exact spot where the rescue occurred.
“The Skyline Cruise, with no price increase this year, offers views of more attractions than any other tour in the harbor. An entertaining and informative tour guide provides interesting facts about the sights that make New York City so special, including the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, United Nations, the South Street Seaport and the Brooklyn Bridge.
