A funeral mass was offered May 2 at St. Nicholas Church, Jersey City, for Joseph E. Carroll. He passed away April 28. He was born in Jersey City and lived most of his life in Jersey City and the last 12 years in Secaucus. He was a member of the first graduating class of Hudson Catholic High School in 1968. He was the owner of Carroll Wholesale Florist for many years and the sales manager of Main Wholesale Florist, Clifton, for the last six years. He is survived by his wife, Maria Carroll and his two daughters, Yvonne Kruse and her husband, John and Maria Carroll. He was the brother of Mary “Mimi” Carroll, John Carroll and the late Anne Golzio. He was the grandfather of John Jr., Christopher and Natalie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many friends. Services arranged by the Houghton Funeral Home, Jersey City.
