Suspected swine flu cases in Hudson are negative

Richard Censullo, the director of health and social services for both North Bergen and Union City, announced this afternoon that the New Jersey State Department of Health confirmed that two possible cases of swine flu in the area were negative.
Censullo said that adults had suspected the had the flu, and because there are no laboratories with the capabilities to test for it in Hudson County, the samples had to be sent to the state.
He said that any patient who has travelled outside of the country to a place where the flu has become an epidemic would be tested as a precaution.
“I’m happy to report that I jsut now recieved a confirmation from that State Health Department Labratory that the [possible] cases in Union City and the cases in North Bergen were negative,” said Censulllo. — Tricia Tirella
