In the wake of Holocaust Remembrance Day this past Tuesday, Union City police were investigating to determine who broke into an all-girls Jewish school on New York Avenue Wednesday evening and burned a makeshift cross on a desk.
Police are looking for two people who allegedly broke into Bnos Sanz School, at 3300 New York Ave., made a cross out of wood, and set it on fire and caused other damage to the inside of the building, according to reports.
The office of the Union City police chief said Thursday morning that they were being inundated with phone calls about the incident.
More information will be published as it develops, or see this weekend’s Union City Reporter.
