Vivo hired to VP and Regional Manager at Provident Bank

Robert Vivo of Old Bridge was recently hired as vice president and regional manager of The Provident Bank in Jersey City. He is responsible for increasing sales and maintaining the operational soundness of 14 branches in the Hudson county area, including Jersey City, Hoboken, West New York and Bayonne and is also responsible for building close business and consumer relationships within the communities he serves. A veteran of the industry, Vivo comes to Provident with over 24 years of banking experience. Prior to joining Provident, he worked as a District Manager for Sovereign Bank in Staten Island and Brooklyn where he managed branches and improved sales and service levels. Vivo holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhattan. Apart from his work at Provident, he spends his time volunteering for the Lenape Chapter Boy Scouts; he is also a member of the Ben-Bay Kiwanis Club where he helps with fundraising and charitable work. As a former board member of the Flatbush YMCA, Vivo received honorable recognition for chairing its Strong Kid’s Campaign in 2005 and through his work with the campaign, he was able to succeed the club’s target goal to provide local youth and teens with the opportunity to participate in a wide array of educational and recreational programs.
