ORENCIA, GERONIMO T

A funeral mass was offered April 15 at St. Aedan Church, Jersey City, for Geronimo T. Orencia, 64. He died April 12 at his home. Born in the Philippines, the son of Clotilde (Tanabe) Chan and the late Carlos Orencia, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and was a civil engineer at KS Engineers LLC in Newark for five years before retiring in 2007. He was the husband of Elisa Montano Orencia; the father of Gerald Orencia and Tricia Orencia Perez; the grandfather of Christopher, Corina, Gennalynn, Jayden and Thalia; the father-in-law of Jodi Orencia and Salvador Perez; the brother of Dr. Rodolfo Orencia, Carmelita Penaloza and other siblings in the Philippines, and the uncle of Randy and Ralph Orencia, Edward Penaloza, Jennifer, Erwin and Cynthia Morales, Maridel and Ian Tamayo, Kim and Keith Bardillion.
