A small fire broke out along the Hoboken waterfront this afternoon.
Firefighters from the Hoboken Fire Department and Jersey City Fire Department responded to a fire on the dry dock along the Hoboken waterfront at 4 p.m. this afternoon. The dry dock is generally used to work on tugboats.
Smoke from the fire could be seen for several blocks.
Police and firefighters at the scene said they did not know what caused the small fire, which was put out in a matter of minutes from the docks and fire boats in the Hudson River.
There did not appear to be any injuries. — AW
