B.F.F. (best friends forever)

I want to be your friend
today until tomorrow;
I’ll make your sadness end,
I’ll chase away your sorrow.

I want to be your friend
even the day after;
I’ll make you smile again
and fill your world with laughter.

I want to be your friend,
I’ll take good care of you;
I’ll make sadness regret
the day it followed you.

Friendship is a gift
that doesn’t cost a dime;
it’s meant to last forever
until the end of time.

Just know that I’ll protect you,
I’ll always see you through;
and if I should die tomorrow,
I’ll keep an eye on you. –
