Mt. Carmel holds meetings

To the Editor:
Over the last several months, a series of informational meetings have been held for the parishioners of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Bayonne. These meetings have been chaired by a core-committee of delegates of the last elected parish council and were held in response to the complaints of many of the parishioners regarding the situation at Mt. Carmel and the policies of the present pastor.
At these meetings, close to 300 parishioners were given the opportunity to voice their opinion and hundreds of signatures on a petition were obtained.
The committee is holding another such meeting on Sunday, March 29, at the Polish American Community Center, 29 West 22nd Street. Doors open at noon, followed by a meeting at 1 p.m., when new developments will be discussed. All parishioners regardless of their opinion are invited and urged to attend.
