After an extensive selection process, the Board of Trustees of Holy Family Academy of Bayonne has chosen Dr. Karen Fasanella as president of the school, effective July 1, 2009.
Dr. Fasanella has more than 35 years of education experience, with 30 years in Catholic education. Most recently, she was the principal of St. Rose of Lima Academy in Short Hills, N.J. Dr. Fasanella was previously employed by the Diocese of Paterson as director of development and planning and has extensive teaching and administrative experience both in archdiocese schools and other Catholic schools in New Jersey.
Post secondary experience includes positions at the William Patterson College and Manhattan College. She is currently an adjunct professor at Caldwell College in the Graduate School of Education.
Dr. Fasanella received an Ed.D in education administration and supervision from Seton Hall University, an M.A. from New Jersey City University in Reading Education, a B.A. in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from New Jersey City University, and received certification in Educational Administration and Supervision from Saint Peter’s College.
