The Hoboken Rotary Club hosted a Live Art Auction at All Saints Episcopal Church on January 30, 2009 to benefit Hoboken University Medical Center. The Rotary donated $5,600 for an expansion of the Hoboken UMC Infusion Center.
The Infusion Center’s primary function is to provide treatment to patients with infusion-related needs. The center offers a variety of specialized treatments and procedures including: chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics and hydration, among others.
The expansion allows the Center to treat more patients with an additional 4 chairs, providing 10 chairs in total. Also made possible by this donation was an additional bathroom for the Center, which is very important for patients constantly receiving fluids.
